Three thousand women who belong to Amrita SREE self-help groups (SHGs) gathered in Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu’s Kanyakumari district for their annual meeting. The eminent chief guests included M.R. Gandhi, MLA for Nagercoil (BJP); S. Rajesh Kumar, MLA for Killiyoor (Congress); and Thalavai Sundaram, MLA for Kanyakumari (Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam).
Swami Ajamritananda Puri delivered the blessing speech, and Brahmachari Nilakanthamrita Chaitanya welcomed all who attended. In addition to food, clothing, and financial assistance for each member, working capital was distributed to SHGs with 20 members.
